Sundance Creative Producing Fellowship

Along with my producing partner Gerry Kim, I was named a Sundance Creative Producing Fellow for the film I’m No Longer Here, the story of a teenage Mexican kid forced to migrate to Jackson Heights, Queens. I’m No Longer Here comes from the mind of writer/director Fernando Frias, who won the Slamdance film festival for his first feature Rezeta.

At the Producing Lab, we spent a week working with Sundance advisors Jay Van Hoy, Mary Harron, David Lowery, Pam Koffler, Paul Mezey, Julie Lynn, and Victoria Cook on developing the story, production, and financing plan for the film. For the next year, we will be working with two mentors who will advise us on our project and our careers.

We’ll also be attending the 2015 Sundance Film Festival, for further meetings and networking opportunities. It’s been a great honor to be a part of this program and a member of the Sundance Family.
